Autorenporträt
As a teacher I have loved sharing my stories with my students. The "Knock Knock" stories bring out their imagination to keep them wondering "Who's behind that door". Experiencing COVID 19 and being isolated and quarantined from the World gave me a perspective and pushed me to begin the series of "Knock Knock Short Stories". Staying Home and having "Social Distancing" from family and loved ones was very hard and at times painful. It was especially hard to explain to my 2 boys who at the time were 6 & 8. Why we had to celebrate "Drive-By birthdays". Explaining to them why Mommy wore a mask and pajamas day and night. The importance of continuing to educate my students via Zoom. There were long days filled with joy, laughter but often many tears. I was determined to use my quarantine time and turn it for Good! I was not returning to "Back to Normal". I was steadfast and hungry to return to something different. A new me, a new friend, a prayer warrior, a strong teacher, a good wife, and above all a patient mom! Time is of the ESSENCE. This was my NEW normal.
