Thermophysiological comfort is one of the most essential features of apparel of which water absorption and transport property of fabrics contributes significantly to discomfort during wear. An ideal garment should maintain good balance between the external environment and our body. It should be able to transport body perspiration to outside environment and keep a dry skin surface. So, it is necessary to find suitable methods for characterising the water absorption property of fabrics. In this book, the water absorption property of fabrics with various fabric structures, yarn count and fabric density was accessed by the conventional test methods. Additionally, a subjective method for characterizing the wetness discomfort of fabrics was developed. This method was found to be reliable and sensitive for assessing the wetness comfort of apparel fabrics.
