PATRICIA E. PERKINS is an Assistant Professor teaching environmental and ecological economics in the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University in Ontario, Canada. Dr. Perkins has worked in Brazil and Mozambique, taught economics at several North American institutions, and has served as policy advisor for the Ontario Ministry of Environment and Energy.
