Finally my 2nd book is here, Blood, Sweat and Years..... Honestly I thought it would be more "Years" before I published but between the time of the first book getting published and this book, I was inspired through the ups and downs in my life so much that many of the poems and stories tend to write themselves and before I knew it I had enough material for a this book. I enjoy writing poetry because it allows me that gateway to escape from everything that is going on around me and a way to express myself in a way that others may understand. This book includes poems about humor, dedications, politics, religion, love, and my love for our Country. It's about life and death along with trying to figure out everything in between. It's about love and loss along with trying to figure out what might have been if I would have done things differently. This book, like the last one, is a lot like my own biography with telling the long, drawn out stories. But, unlike the last book, I wanted to put a little more into it than just poems. Though, the poems are still the main focus, I wanted to add a little bit more book to this to make it more about my first love, my family.
Autorenporträt
Paul Anthony Minger was born in the little steel mill town of Weirton, West Virginia. He has served three deployments with the Army Reserves in Iran and Afghanistan. "I feel by the completion of this book that this is a chapter of my life that has been well documented and now closed. I can move on with a new chapter as I continue to write new material. Since it took 22 years to publish this one, maybe in another 22 years I will be ready to publish another one and call it Blood, Sweat, and Years."
