When Adria returned home after being gone for ten years, the last thing she expected to find was love. But love she did find-with Bryson, the minister of music at her church. He is handsome and God-fearing...the perfect package. But he also comes with a young son and a reputation that has family members warning her to take it easy. Adria knows part of that comes from the high-profile position he's in, but she also understands that regardless of the mistakes of the past, everyone deserves a second chance in life. Adria, herself, spent ten years running away from her family, and doing things she never thought herself capable of, so she's in no position to judge. And now that she's back, she wants to enjoy all that life has for her. Adria decides to ignore the naysayers and dive deep into love. But when Bryson's reputation finally catches up with him and threatens their newfound love, she will have to come to terms with the realities of the situation and decide her future: will she run away as she's always done, or mistakes aside, will she transform into the person she was always meant to be?

Autorenporträt
Dr. Paula Y. Obie grew up in a small-town in North Carolina and she is the only female born in a family of eight siblings to Elder Samuel B. Obie and the late Reverend Joyce L. Obie. In her early life, there was an abundance of love, music, laughter, sports, friends and-of course-church. It was her church upbringing though sometimes was extremely complicated, that kept her grounded even when she struggled with her life's journey. At a young age, her mother passed; however, before she transitioned, Paula spent many days and nights with her at the hospital. In her conversations to prepare her for life without her mother, she would encourage her to, "Not be like them," and she would call names. She also encouraged her to, "Not let anyone buy you, you are not for sale". These words were vehicles to drive her through many life scenarios. Writing, after this transitional life experience, became a tool she used for sporadic journaling and venting. Later, professionally, she used it as an operational and developmental business management writing tool. In 2008, Paula was encouraged to write her faith journey, with the end result of being a love story. "I laugh at the power of God, who can take a tragical life and transform it into love! Only God can perform that miracle." Paula loves spending time with her family, walking along the beach and just sitting and looking at the spectacular sea for hours.
