Produktbeschreibung
An explorative investigation aimed at building a conceptual framework for the production of multimedia photographic documentaries. Using semiotics to analyse the entities that structure multimedia documentaries: photographic and graphic signs, text, sounds, music, spoken commentaries and the structural platform that will incorporate the elements by using interactive and navigational systems. Contextual studies of media in general, the contemporary status of journalism and the role graphic documentary essays play today put in perspective the implementation of such multimedia documentaries. Special interest is paid to the evaluation of new media technologies and practices in reference to mass media, journalism and photography. The concept of documentary photography is as broad as the notion of photography itself and its boundaries with fine art and other traditions of visual communication are being constantly redefined.
