Autorenporträt
My name is Pamala Johnson. I was born in Texas, USA in 1954, married an Iowan in 1972 and spent the next 41 years living in central Iowa. At the end of 2013, my husband and I moved back to the Texas Gulf Coast where I was born and raised.

I have been a writer since I could write, but I never believed publishing my work was a possibility.

I have worked since High School mostly in sales, such as, food brokering, general goods, newspaper ads, and real estate. During all those years, I wanted to be a published writer.

Inspired by a local writer from Des Moines, Iowa, who self-published a novel which became a huge success, AND my friends and family who kept urging me to finish the book, I gathered up my courage and completed my first novel, The Female Factory.

I have been married to my one and only true love since 1972 and raised three children who now have families and careers of their own.

I dream of visiting the countries of Australia and England because I feel as if I have lived there through my characters and my research. (Which by the way, in my research I found out my 25th great grandfather was the Spencer who was friends with William the Conqueror and grandfather to the great late Princess Diana AND my 8th great grandfather was Lord Thomas Gates who became Governor of Jamestown, Virginia, USA in the early 1600's.)

So in conclusion, my characters in the Female Factory are fictional, yet very much alive in my imagination. In fact, they have not quieted. They will have more to say in the sequel, "Gordonville". Happy reading!
