Body weight and body conformation also have considerable importance to decide the selection criterion for improving the overall productivity of pigs. The book "Genetic study of economic traits in crossbred pigs in India" deals with evaluation of the performance and genetic parameters of 50% and 75% Large White Yorkshire crossbred pigs with respect to various productive and reproductive traits.
