Many of these studies have been concerned with social inequalities and its influence on substance misuse behaviour, especially in the lower socioeconomic or socioeconomic deprivation context. Lesser studies have been done which delves into and unravels the factors which influence risk seeking behaviour including psychedelic substance misuse among affluent sections of society where the seemingly adverse factors encouraging initiation of substance misuse behaviour or risk seeking behaviour are absent. So this study was conducted to try and find out the psycho-social factors which influence such risky behaviour among otherwise affluent adults, who often seems to be hidden from conventional study methods
