Autorenporträt
Peter J. Marchiano, Jr. is a CPA who believes that business is all about developing relationships because people enjoy doing business with people they like rather than with people they don't. He began his accounting career with the intention of joining one of the large accounting firms but changed course after being offered a position in a local CPA firm. He says, "It turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me. I got the chance to work directly with small business owners, handling all their accounting and tax needs. I love interacting with business owners and developing relationships with them." After working for this firm for a couple of years, Peter felt it was time to strike out on his own and established his own practice in 1987, which has been helping people prosper ever since. The practice is located in Bayville, NJ near the Toms River area along the beautiful Jersey Shore and has a second location in Neptune, NJ. Peter graduated from Montclair St. College where he majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. After graduation, he then went on to pass all four parts of the CPA exam in one sitting, a feat that is accomplished by only about 2% of the candidates that sit for the exam. He has served a variety of businesses in many industries over the years and takes great pride in helping his clients' businesses grow as well as helping them reduce their taxes through proactive tax planning. Married for twenty-three years, he and his wife have two adopted children. Outside work, Peter has served as the Treasurer of Berkeley Little League since 2009 and has coached there for over a decade. He also coached for several years with the Berkeley Basketball Association and served as a division coordinator for four years. He is also a member of the Toms River Knights of Columbus and participates annually in their Christmas Food Basket Program delivering food each Christmas with his children to local families in need.
