The book describes an HPSG-based language model of Bulgarian language within the framework of the LKB implementation. It presents the point of view of the grammar writer. For that reason, the text is suitable to readers who already have some initial knowledge in HPSG and in LKB-based grammars. The Bulgarian Resource Grammar has been started as a Matrix Grammar at CSLI, Stanford. Thus, it conforms to the Matrix Grammar Model, but at the same time, it introduces some new ideas, induced by the specific features of the language. The book outlines briefly the lexical types, the phrasal types and principles as well as the lexicon representation for Bulgarian. The current grammar covers the international testset of the Matrix Grammar family, and slightly builds on it. For facility, two appendices have been included, which list the leaves of the lexical types as well as the translated and glossed testset.
