Autorenporträt
Margaret A. Dell, Ph.D., D.N., has been a recognized leader in the field of nutrition for the past 25 years. She has achieved remarkable success in treating patients with all types of diseases, notably, cancer. Her method combines holistic practices with a unique approach that integrates the wellness of the soul.Extensive training and a desire to search deep for the answers compliment her gift of intuitive diagnosis and healing, which she found often lie in the soul's past-life experiences. The American College of Nutripathy in Scottsdale, Arizona certified Dell in 1982, when she obtained a Doctor of Nutripathy degree. After a year of residency in Scottsdale, Arizona she was certified to begin practice. The following year, she obtained a Doctor of Nutritional Philosophy from that institution. In 1985 she received a Doctor of Naturopathy degree from Dr. Clayton's School of Natural Healing in Birmingham, Alabama.Dr. Dell is listed in "The Director of Distinguished Americans'' Biographical Roll of Honor for distinguished service to the field of nutrition. She was named to The International Academy for Medical Preventics in 1982. The American College of Nutripathy named Dell "Outstanding Educator of 1982" and "Outstanding Doctor of 1983." She has been a member of the American Nutrition Consultants Association and the American Nutritional Medical Association.Further, she trained extensively through seminars and symposiums hosted by leaders in the holistic healing field. Among these were: Jeffrey Bland, Ram Dass, Albert Ellis, Meyer Friedman, Donald T. Jaffe, Dolores Krieger, Stephen Levine, Rollo May, Durk Pearson and Sandy Shaw, Jose Silva, and O. Carl Simonton. Her work has been spotlighted in print media nationwide, and on television broadcasts in New York City, Philadelphia and New Jersey. She also hosted her own successful cable television program on wellness, healing, nutrition and many illnesses. The television show was live and not just viewed in the studio, but also around town. She directed a live show from the Tom's River Mall and did her own special from a plastic surgery center in Monmouth County. The weekly show ran for over a year. She was able to present a lot of help to special needs adults as well as children. She taught holistic health in the Southern Regional School District Adult School for eight years and was chosen by the American Association of University Women in 1997 to present workshops to high school students as part of a conference entitled "Celebrating the Woman as a Total Person." Dr. Dell presented a workshop to teachers at the 10th Annual Five District In-Service in 1993. Her topic was the role of nutrition in the learning process. What happened was the schools were behind in testing and it amounted to a lot of money. The Principal called and asked if she could work to help the students to, perhaps, do better on their testing. She recommended that all of the kids be given a free breakfast and, if they chose to purchase from McDonald's, to make it an Egg McMuffin or a Biscuit Egg and Cheese. This decision had astounding results. At the community level, the Mayor (Carl Block) from the Township of Stafford, recognized her in 1991 for her endeavor of founding The Wellness Club for Kids With Cancer. The Club, realizing the wish of Dell's granddaughter, Alicia, helped cancer patients and their families cope with the side effects and lifestyle changes of the illness. The Club gave nutritional and emotional support in conjunction with conventional treatment. It gave children and adults the latest in safe and effective therapies, at no cost. After maintaining a private nutritional practice and health center in Ocean County, New Jersey for 20 years, Dell currently resides in Tarpon Springs, Florida.
