JoAnn M. Bierdziewski, Ph.D., was born in Nanticoke, PA. JoAnn worked in the field of special education for thirty-nine years, retiring in 2011 as a Supervisor of Special Education and Transition Services. Dr. "B", as she was fondly called, loved her job and devoted her career to enhancing the education and job skills of her students. JoAnn's love for her Great Pyrenees, Zook, and her caring and humble life lead to this, her first children's publication. JoAnn passed away in February 2016 and her devoted husband Daniel of over thirty-three years fulfilled her wish to make this publication come true.
