Autorenporträt
With his attorney mom as his role model, Phil Andreen was a trial lawyer for 40 years, serving as a Navy lawyer (JAG); a public defender; a solo practitioner representing headline murder cases, NFL players and CIF (governs California high school sports); and Pasadena (CA) Assistant City Attorney for two decades (handling more than 500 trip and fall cases). A postcard irony: Phil was a letter carrier for three summers during law school. A 'national expert' (Seattle Times), Phil was a national speaker on trip and fall issues for the Arbor Day Foundation and attorney organizations across the country. Along the way he served as a judge pro tem, an adjunct law professor and a legal newspaper reporter. Now retired, Phil plays a gutsy trombone in top Southern California Dixieland bands. Phil and his teacher wife, Carol, have a son and a daughter.
