Matt Philipzen, born in 1966, has successfully held Cajon clinics around the world for over 20 years. He teaches percussion as an academic at the University of Music in Wuerzburg, Germany. As an author he has made a name for himself with numerous publications on the Cajon. He is a much sought-after solo performer as well as a live and studio sideman on percussion and drum set and convinces with his wide stylistic range. For example in projects encompassing children's music, singer/songwriter, country, pop, latin and jazz music to name just a few. His Cajón Book is his first release at Alfred Music.
