Autorenporträt
Dr. Prakash Keshaviah met H.H. Swami Rama in 1969 and was initiated into the Himalayan Tradition in 1971. A few years later, he was trained by Swami Rama to be a mantra initiator in the tradition. Dr. Prakash is a Biomedical Scientist with a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from I.I.T. Madras, and post-graduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Physiology and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, U.S.A. He gained international recognition in the field of Dialysis through his scientific papers and patents. After a 30-year career in the U.S., at the behest of Swami Rama, Prakash returned to India in 1998 to volunteer his services at the Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust. He established and manages the Dialysis Unit at the hospital. This unit now performs more than 25,000 dialysis treatments each year. The personal guidance of Swami Rama has greatly enriched the life of Dr. Prakash Keshaviah and has added meaning and purpose to his life. To repay this debt of gratitude, Prakash has been spreading the teachings of Swami Rama through workshops, seminars, books, videos and CDs.
