In India, good hydrologic network exists in some parts while in many other parts; networks suffer from lack of skilled manpower and proper measurement techniques.Thus the measurable hydrological and geomorphological parameters have potential to describe some important drainage basin properties and it also provides a simple means for hydrologic simulation, hydrograph synthesis, and quantification of flow process and to understand the rainfall-runoff relationship particularly of ungauged basin.
