Phenomenological data analysis generated four themes: individual experiences, situational experiences, coping strategies/suggestions, and personal transformation. Under the individual and situational experiences, the participants described their experiences related to their general and university lives in United States. Under the coping strategies/suggestions theme, suggestions were provided to overcome challenges related to the transition. Under the personal transformation theme, students mentioned how their lives transformed as a result of their transition to the United States.
