Groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) is a major commercial oilseed crop of India. Groundnut kernels are consumed as raw, boiled, roasted or fried products and also used in a variety of culinary preparations like peanut candies, butter, peanut milk and chocolates. Groundnut seed contains about 50% edible oil. The remaining 50% of the seed has high qualities of protein (21.4-36.4%), carbohydrates (6.0-24.09%), minerals and vitamins. Among the various factors known to determine the groundnut yield, balanced nutrition along with sulphur considered as one of the basic factors which can increase 50 % production. This book will be providing significance of sulphur source and it's level for obtaining better yield of groundnut under balance fertilization in Gujarat.
