Dr. Roy Dowdy receieved his PhD in American History from the University of Memphis,Tennessee, a MS in International Relations and a BS in Military History from Troy State University, Alabama. He retired in 2015 following 33 years of honorable service in the United States Air Force and the Tennessee Air National Guard.
