Autorenporträt
Rob Peck has seventy-five years of life experience and over forty years of public speaking experience, which he brings to this helpful how to. In his first twenty-five years Rob travelled a lot. In the last fifty years not so much. Over the years he has sought out supportive communities who have helped him with the challenges that life inevitably brings to us all. Those communities have included family, church, neighbourhood friends, classmates from school, and Toastmasters International, a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. Reflecting on life and the art of public speaking, Rob saw how his views had evolved over the last three decades, and decided to share that knowledge and expertise with a wider audience. He wants to encourage every reader to consider what's important in their life, and to learn how to express that in public. Rob lives in Toronto with his wife, Julia. Their daughter, Jennifer, and her husband currently live with them as well. Though they have no pets, they do have a host of goldfish in their backyard pond.
