Random Short Tales is a collection of four short stories, including a Sci-fi time travel adventure, a feel-good romance, a casino thriller, and a gothic fantasy romp.

In the Sci-fi time travel adventure "Where Did the Time Go," a young MIT student named Stephan invents a time travel device that takes him and his sidekick on a wild adventure through time. Their problem now, though, is how to get back home at the same time they left.

"Somewhere Between Chelsea and Brooklyn" introduces us to a budding laundromat romance between Ian and the girl he only knows so far as Brooklyn, whom he had met the week before. Although Ian is eager to reconnect with Brooklyn and try to kindle a new romance, his ex-girlfriend Cindy's untimely visit is about to throw a monkey wrench into his current plan.

"Sam's Next Card" follows a degenerate gambler named Sam, who has just received his final notice and a beating in the casino washroom from one of the most notorious loan sharks in Las Vegas. To save his house, dog, and fiancé, Sam has little choice but to try his luck one last time at a game of Black Jack that hasn't been kind to him for a long time.

"Pamela's Bell" is a fantasy tale that introduces us to Lars De Manual (a.k.a Lars the Man), a widower who is now in search of his late wife Pamela's bell, which was stolen by one of the town's sacred black cats just before he was about to give it to his daughter as a wedding present from her late mother. Lars will do anything to track down that bell and bring it home, including fighting anyone or anything in the process, including the sacred black cats themselves.
