Robert M. Fasiang was born in Chicago, the son of Slovak immigrants. They moved to Whiting, Indiana, where he attended school. He has worked for 40 years as an accountant. Robert Magruder is a native of Whiting, Indiana. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Chicago and is active with several Slovak American organizations.
