Each work of art reminds both locals and visitors alike that New Orleans can overcome any challenge. Dr. Robert Jeanfreau practices internal medicine. After he received a BA from Loyola University, he attended LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. Because of his enthusiasm for history, he became a member of the Louisiana Historical Society. Jeanfreau began conducting research for The Story Behind the Stone after passing a statue on Esplanade Avenue dedicated to Charles Gayarrï¿1/2. Jeanfreau lives in Metairie, Louisiana.

Dr. Robert Jeanfreau practices internal medicine. Before attending LSU Medical School in New Orleans, he earned a BA from Loyola University. Jeanfreau's concept for Story Behind the Stone was conceived when he drove by a statue on Esplanade Avenue, dedicated to Charles Gayarre. Eager to learn more, Jeanfreau began the research that eventually led to a book. He is a member of the Louisiana Historical Society and lives in Metairie, Louisiana.
