Robin Afrasiabi has written for the book, newspaper publishing and public relations world. She has also taught critical reading courses and adult learning theory at several California Colleges at both the undergraduate and graduate level. She is a proud mom of two bookworms, one of whom introduced her to the wonderful "early chapter book series" world. Dani Shear's first acclaimed children's book The Foodie Club was published by Blackbird Books in 2014. She's written humor pieces for the LA Times, ModernMom, BabyNames, Fresh-Schools and RedTypewriter and sold a television pilot to Fox21. She's a proud Northwestern Wildcat and even prouder mom to two wildly creative daughters, Sydney and Sunny.
