Autorenporträt
Ron Mealka served in the USAF as an aircraft mechanic during the Vietnam era. Upon discharge, he spent a few years as a sixth grade school teacher and enjoyed challenging his students to be creative. Part-time in an afterschool program, he would work with students on various projects, including learning to play Chessand building model rockets. Today in retirement, he teaches a class in model rocketry and airplane design. Many years ago, he scribbled down on paper an idea to write a children's book and custom write and illustrate it only for his two smallchildren, Jennifer and Jason. It was supposed to be a family book only. But then he realized that teachers and parents could use his book as a teaching tool. And that is how Jason, Jennifer, and the Fun House cameto be.
