Devin Rose***************************************Written with sincere humility, 'That We Be One' is a down-to-earth explanation of the tenets of the Christian faith, without the frills often found in academic descriptions. I have read numerous books on these subjects, but this is by far the most interesting and compelling.Mr. Bianco, is a novice in the field of apologetics. He is without scholarly degrees of any kind in theology or history; yet he presents an insightful man-on-the-street comparison of various Christian denominations in a rather unusual way. In doing so, he writes candidly, brazenly challenging, and from the heart. Minister . . . Forest St. Pierre
Autorenporträt
Ron Bianco is now a performing artist, entertainer and musician. He is presently touring as a singer-guitarist performing at festivals, schools, libraries, and amusement parks. In his youth, he graduated high school with a printing vocational trade. He soon became dissatisfied with this, believing he was capable of more, and returned to high school as a "post-grad" student, and with the extended help of his teachers, to whom he is indebted, acquired the necessary credits to attend college. With scholarships and loans, he graduated with honors, earning a B.S in Chemical Engineering in 1966. Ron lived more or less a pagan life, until his call upon God, at a time in his life of traumatic need and quest for meaning; resulting in his heart-wrenching conversion which began in his thirties. There's lots more to this story of his turn to God and the paths he took in his life to follow, with some that were far from consistent with his faith and conversion (perhaps another book, he says). "God is good and merciful ... even to the grossly undeserving." he says in thankfullness to God.
