Anna Marie Lindquist is a vivacious second grade teacher and the youngest of three daughters of Harvey Lindquist, a small town Midwestern banker. Author Ronald Bergerson set his story in west central Wisconsin, where he was raised. He is retired, now lives near Minneapolis and is at work on another novel.
