Shelly Loomus, JD, MSW, has combined her skills as an attorney, clinical social worker, and family law mediator, to help parents struggling with chronic divorce and post-divorce conflict. Loomus guides her clients in real-time, helping them strategize and proactively manage co-parent conflict. Having experienced her own difficult divorce, Loomus' first book, Winning Your High Conflict Divorce: Strategies for Moms and Dads provides tactics for managing legal hostilities, illustrated by anecdotes from her own life and those of her client's. Loomus' second book, Practical Parallel Parenting: Reclaiming Your Life from Co-Parent Conflict, focuses on helping parents achieve the ultimate goal of successful co-parenting. In addition to her private practice, Loomus teaches Family Law and other legal courses at Henry Ford College. She lives in Michigan with her husband and enjoys traveling to visit her children and stepchildren.
