The origin of mystics and similes is the Holy Qur'an (in the same way that symbols in the occidental literature trace back to Bible and religious traditions). In the same way, Nizami, 'Attar, Maulavi, Sa'di and Hafez relied on Qur'an and Islamic culture in creating their invaluable and unique works. Mathnavi's stories of Rumi are of every type.
