PMJDY is the world's largest financial inclusion scheme and has played a vital role in ensuring financial inclusion in India. Viewing the significance of scheme there is greater need of study and research on the progress of scheme in the various parts of country so that the problems, prospects and progress of the scheme could be understood. The present study is a survey of Kurukshetra district of Haryana state. The present study has focused on the examination of role of PMJDY in provision of financial services to the poor people. Based on the results of the survey various suggestions have been given for improving the effectiveness of the scheme. It is hoped that the book may be useful for the researchers and policy makers working in the area of financial inclusion and PMJDY.
