The present study highlights the external and internal morphology of selected plants, quantitative microscopy for leaf drug, histochemistry and phytochemistry which includes phytochemical test, ash analysis, fluorescence analysis and percentage extractives, Quantitative estimation of Carbohydrates, Protein and flavonoid and Qualitative test by using HPTLC for detection of Quercetin in the studied drugs. The whole studies emphasize the concepts in a concise and systematic manner to formulate a background and arouse interest among the readers. The subject matter has been given in a simple style which would beneficial for the students and researchers in the field of Pharmacognosy (Botany).

Prof Dr S.S Deokule, HOD Botany, University of Pune is actively researcher, published 9 books and about 160 research papers and recipients of many awards.
