Rev. Quincy K. Patterson was born August 9, 1966 to Mr. Tommy Patterson Sr and Mrs. Mary Alice Patterson in Starkville, MS. He is the youngest of seven siblings. Two brothers Willie Hinton and Tommy Patterson Jr and four sisters Rilla Simmons, Mary Patterson-Davis, Kathy Jean Davis and Cathy Jane Brown. Rev. Patterson is a 1984 graduate of Starkville High School where he was a member of championship football teams and a captain his senior year. Pastor Patterson then attended Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena, MS where he was a two time Academic All-SWAC performer in football. During Rev. Patterson's senior year he was elected the President of the Student Government Association. In May 7, 1988 He graduated with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. He returned to Valley in 1990-1991 to complete his Mathematical Education certification. In August 1991 Rev. Patterson was able to fulfill one of his childhood dreams of returning to teach Mathematics in the Starkville School District teaching 3 years at Starkville High School and he spent 17 years directing misguided, misunderstood and misbehaving students at Quad Alternative School. He retired in May 2011. Rev. Patterson accepted his call to the Gospel ministry in September of 1998 at the Springhill M. B. Church in Starkville, MS under Pastor Simeon T. Weatherby. He was elected the pastor of the Gospel Temple M. B. Church on May 7, 2000 and continues to serve in that capacity. On June 22, 2002 Rev. Patterson married the lovely Mrs. Natalie Hughes. Pastor Patterson's passion is preaching and teaching the Word of God with clarity and understanding. His motto is Building the Kingdom through Preaching, Teaching & Reaching
