Software profession is a comparatively new area of employment in India. The comparatively high incomes and international placements are attracting the youth to this profession. The report is a study of the changed food habits and life styles of Software professionals. The sedentary and stressful nature of the jobs are bringing with it a new generation of morbidities. This is affecting the morale of the professionals as well. Hence an in depth study on their nutritional and health status is attempted in this study. A survey on the socio economic and lifestyle pattern of these professionals is presented. An in depth dietary survey and stress pattern is also presented. A focus on the health of this group would enlighten the society on the remedial measures needed.
