Since Megillas Vintz was chanted to the tune of Die Schlacht von Pavia in Frankfurt on Purim Vintz, the melodies are reproduced in an Appendix.

The Author: Rivka B. Kern Ulmer has published extensively in Jewish Studies. Ulmer's main interest is the literature, theology and legal development of rabbinic Judaism from antiquity to modernity. Her academic affiliations include the University of Copenhagen, Harvard University, Brown University, Hebrew Union College, Jüdische Hochschule Heidelberg, Goethe-Universität Frankfurt and others. Presently, Ulmer is a Visiting Scholar in Jewish Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
