Richard D. Wetzel earned the Ph.D. in Musicology at the University of Pittsburgh, where he studied under Dénes Bartha, Theodore Finney and Robert J. Snow. Wetzel is on the faculty of the School of Music of Ohio University, Athens, Ohio. Erika Heitmeyer studied Germanistik and Latin philology and was director of studies at Gymansium schools in Dortmund, Germany. She received her Ph.D. in literary science with honors (summa cum laude) from the Universitt Osnabrck, where she studied with Albert Gerhards, Winfried Woesler, and Ulrich Klein. Her articles and essays have been published in various scientific and theological magazines and anthologies.
