Richard Waldram has lived in Overton, Hampshire for 46 years, near Southington House, which was Bertram Portal's home. He qualified as a doctor in 1966 and became a consultant physician. In retirement he has published several monographs about Overton and led a major project with a team of researchers to produce A History of Overton in 2019.
