Autorenporträt
Richard W. Stewart, a retired Army Reserve colonel, is the chief historian at the U.S. Army Center of Military History. He has authored numerous commemorative pamphlets for the Center including "The Korean War: The Chinese Intervention, 3 November 1950"-"24 January 1951"; "Operation Urgent Fury, The Invasion of Grenada, October "1983; "The United States Army in Somalia, 1992-"1994; and "The United States Army in Afghanistan: Operation Enduring Freedom, October 2001-March 2002. "He is also the general editor of the two-volume revised edition of "American Military History, 1775-2008."
