Ruth Maetala is a native of the Solomon Islands. She was born and raised in a family of six children. The only daughter in the family, Ruth learned life is a journey of both faith and struggle. Ruth is a pastor's wife, a mother, and a grandmother. She graduated with a degree in Women's Studies and Social Anthropology from Massey University in New Zealand. She has a diploma in Christian Education from Texas Bible College in Lufkin, Texas, USA. She is a development specialist by profession and has served in several administrative roles. In the Kingdom of God, she has served in various mission capacities in several countries. She is currently serving as the ladies' ministry leader for the United Pentecostal Church of the Solomon Islands. She is passionate about building and mentoring young women leaders, young wives, and mothers. Ruth is an author and international speaker. Her works have been published by SAGE, Australian National University, Auckland University of Technology, and other publications.
