Managing resources for the development of a country is a major challenge of a state. Mobilization of resources and its optimum use for human development has become a prime agenda and subject of concern for a student of development planners, policy managers and administrators. For a proper understanding on the issue of resource generation and its optimum use in the process of development, an in-depth analysis of the situation is crucial. In this perspective, this book therefore provides an insight of the resource (supply) and use (demand) of resources, and to analyze the prospects and constraints of resource generation in the paradigm of developing country like Nepal. The book analyzes the resource mobilization situation as well as its utilization and provides an empirical investigation on the fiscal and economic impact of resource gap. Further, based on the analytical framework of the resource gap as an outcome of demand and supply of resources, this study suggests some alternative ways for managing resource gap in an economy. The analysis should be especially helpful for the student of macroeconomics, public finance and economic policy management.
