Russ Abbott has been involved in the world of finance for over thirty years as a professor, as well as a portfolio manager. He appeared daily on television and radio in Sacramento for many years discussing the economy, politics, and financial forecasting. This led to speaking engagements for companies, organizations, and communities. He writes an investment quarterly newsletter for investors and weekly blogs for investment professionals. He graduated from UCLA in 1982 with a BA in economics, an MBA from Pepperdine University in 1988, and a Certified Portfolio Manager Designation from Columbia University in 2011. His son, Colby, graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music and his daughter, Caroline, has multiple degrees in the culinary arts and English. His best friend and wife, Kerry, are avid San Francisco Giants fans and travel to other baseball parks each year. Living in beautiful and diverse Northern California, Russ loves to ski, hike, and golf.
