Autorenporträt
Ryan Vachon holds a PhD in stable isotope geochemistry and climate dynamics. His scientific research has revolved around calibrating tools for interpreting past climate changes - encoded in geological records like ice cores. In 2011 Ryan stepped away from a career in research science to focus his efforts into communicating the natural sciences to the broader public. Dr. Vachon's video content has been apart of BBC, National Geographic, PBS, NOVA, MSNBC, Discovery Channel and History Channel productions. He regularly gives professional development workshops on successful science communication and tours the country giving motivational talks about climate change in the context of empowering teens with science technology engineering and math (STEM). Currently, he is co-executive producing Adventures in Science with Doc Ryan, a PBS-based, adventure-science educational series.
