Bridget McGarrity is a small-town lawyer turned sleuth after being appointed as the lawyer and guardian ad litem for fourteen-year-old Naomi Kline. When Naomi is detained on the Native American reservation for car theft, Bridget makes the drive to seek her release. But when she arrives, she is met by the recent and sudden death of Naomi's mother. Sensing something sinister, Bridget sets out to get answers to the tragic demise of a troubled young woman.
