In India, the state Department of Agriculture charged with the responsibility of agricultural development has grown into mammoth service organization. Recently, to increase the productivity at least by 20 per cent a new project called 'Bhoochetana' is implemented under multi organisations partnership mode involving ICRISAT, KSDA and farmers.
