Autorenporträt
About the author: Stephen Kelley grew up in Port Ewen, New York. As a second generation firefighter, he was born and raised in the firehouse. His talent for storytelling and his love of children led naturally to writing Becky the New Fire Engine. As a nineteen-year veteran currently serving as an assistant chief, Stephen enjoys educating and serving his community. Stephen has been married to his wife Tammy for twelve years and has two children Kyla and Joey.

About the illustrator: James, the oldest brother of the author, also grew up in Port Ewen, New York. James started drawing at two years old. As a kitchen-table artist, he specializes in designing logo signs and cartoon characters. He currently lives in Port Ewen, has been married for nineteen years, and is a father of four and grandfather of three.
