Novel Phenyl acrylate derivatives (AN1-AN6) were synthesized, characterized by the spectral analysis and screened for Anti-cancer activity by MTT Assay method and Anti-inflammatory activity by Bovin serum albumin method and. The synthetic route involves the equimolar mixture of 2- Acetoxy benzoic acid, Benzaldehyde was dissolved in 25ml of Ethanol to give 2- (chloro carboxy) phenyl acrylate.Various aromatic anilines were added to the 2- [(- 4- chlorophenyl) carbomoyl] phenyl 3- phenyl acrylate dissolved in ethanol. The reaction mixture was stirred and then refluxed for 1hrs and filter the solution to give 6 novel quinoxaline derivatives (AN1-AN6). The compounds show the mild to moderate anti- cancer activity when compared with standard Bevacizumab. Selected derivatives (AN4, AN5, & AN6) were screened for anti-cancer activity. Results revealed that selected derivatives have not shown anti-inflammatory activity.
