Dysphagia in lung cancer

Beschreibung

Dysphagia is not commonly mentioned in lung cancer symptom complex. Gastrointestinal motility disorder as well as mediastinal lymphadenopathy, radiotherapy and candidal infections are the most common aetiologic mechanisms of dysphagia in lung cancer. Future large sample multicentric studies are needed to outline a proper management plan in collaboration with the gastroenterology medical and surgical departments.

Autor

Dr. Wafaa Ali Hassan graduated from Assiut School of Medicine in 1992 with an excellent grade and first class honor. She got her master degree in 1998 and Doctor degree in 2004. Currently she is an assistant professor of chest diseases since July 2009. Moreover, she is a member of many scientific societies and had many international publications.
