Cervical cancer is both a preventable and a curable disease, preventable by cervical screening and curable if identified at an early stage. Lack of cervical-cancer screening program in low resources settings contributes largely to high incidence. Consequently, there are few opportunities to diagnose precancerous disease, and most patients present with invasive cancer. The Pap test has been the standard screening test in the developed countries for the last five decades. Visual inspection of cervix with acetic acid (VIA) is currently more popular method of cervical cancer of screening test in low resource countries. The Single Visit Approach for Preventing cervical Cancer using visual inspection of acetic acid is the promising and ideal option in low resources setting.
