This book explores the cultural development of Peninsular Siam and its relations with other cultures in the ancient maritime world during the fifth century BC to the tenth century AD. It will transport you across the modern national boundaries to the vanished world of primitive naval and riverine navigations, craft productions and social interactions in the regions that were united by the seas. It shows that the world was connected earlier than we thought and the modern globalization may be a revival of the past.
