The fiery sun hung in the sky, persistently radiating that daunting energy that illuminated the entire Raschez Great Desert as if it were a furnace. Everywhere in the desert was silent, with no creatures moving about. The hot air continued to rise towards the sky, and due to the constant change in the density of the air as a result, the slight but frequently changing refraction of the sunlight as it passed through made it feel as if the dunes were moving - in fact, there was not a hint of wind in the desert at this time, and the dunes couldn't possibly be moving at all.
